Hello allI add my experience here, although it seems a little bit different from other cases in this thread and the LS-VL one. Maybe it's worth of a separate post, not sure.I have recently purchased a LinkStation Duo - LS-WX2.0TL/R1, native 1.34 updated to 1.37 firmware.I set it to to wake up at 8:30AM and shut down with power saving at 7:30PM, on five specific days Monday to Friday.thought I'd complete this thread as was done with several others on the subject. Until Buffalo techs solve the problem via firmware, the WORKAROUND was discovered by others in threads much like this one. The answer lies in the timer value for when you want the device to turn ON. ( The OFF time works as expected and should be set to your normal local time.) The ON value is based on Japan time, which compared to Eastern Standard Time is 14 hours ahead.for example, 8:00 a.m. EST is equal to 10:00 p.m.

Japan Time.In my case, I wanted to have the device turn off at 1:00am EST and wake up at 8:00am EST. My parameters are set as follows.Wake up at: 2200Begin Sleep at: 2500 (yeah.military time doesn't go beyond 2400 hours.might have something to do with how Buffalo does time zone calculations)Hope this helps. I have an external HDD that being partitioned with ext3 and ntfs. Ext3 is for ubuntu boot from usb, while ntfs is mainly to store my data.Symptom:I can’t see my ntfs partition when i plugged in my external HDD into Buffalo NAS.

However, ext3 is visible and mounted in /mnt/usbdisk1 also from samba.Solution:Manual mount. Latest Linkstation firmware support ntfs by default, it just don’t mount all filesystem from the same usb port.Identify partitions with ntfs fdisk -lor fdisk -l grep NTFSCreate mount point mkdir /mnt/ntfsMount ntfs with read write access mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb3 /mnt/ntfs/Unmount ntfs umount /mnt/ntfs/.
