I have lost my Email receipt, how can I reactivate my product? You can go to Esellerate support site here: You can retrieve your Order History, by inserting the email you used to purchased the product, then press the 'E-Mail Order History' button.

Having your Order, will allow to use the server-assisted Reinstall. Where is my Serial Number?

If you want to know your Serial Number, insert your Order Number and Email, then press the 'Submit' button on the Esellerate support site: this will enter inside your Order Page, with option to see your original Email Receipt, that contains also your Serial Number. Purchase Method All FSDreamTeam products are distributed as a Try-Before-Buy. You will freely download a Demo version, that will run for about 5 minutes at time (the timer restarts if you exit and enter Flight Simulator so the Demo can be launched an unlimited number of times). The Demo is exactly like the full scenery, but it will only run for a few minutes at time. At the end of the Demo, all main buildings will disappear, and it will be necessary to launch Flight Simulator again, to have another Demo time. The Demo can be unlocked by purchasing the product, directly inside Flight Simulator. The purchasing method is based on the worldwide market leader Esellerate/Digital River, that supplies the infrastructure for secure connections, Credit Card handling, and bandwidth.

Payment method It's possible to buy using a Credit Card, compatibile with VISA, Master Card, American Express or JCB circuits, using the integrated buying routine inside Flight Simulator. There's also an alternate buying procedure available that uses a web browser, that allows for PayPal payments as well. Why this buying method is better for the customer There are several advantages why this purchasing system is much better for the user.

Some of these are:. The user can freely evaluate the product before purchasing, on his own system. The Demo can be downloaded in full privacy, there's no registration required to download the Demo.

There's no need to wait for activation codes via email, the product will be fully active a few seconds after purchase. There's no risk paying for the product and not being able to use it, because activation emails didn't work. The Demo doesn't have an expiration date. It's possible to use it for an unlimited number of times, just not more than a few minutes each time. This way, it's possible to evaluate the product by making tweaks on the system, upgrades, at everyone's pace. Product Activation In order to make the Demo version possible, the product uses an activation system.

However, it has been configured on the commerce server in a way that should allow freedom to change/upgrade hardware and suit most of the user's needs. It's true I'm not free to change hardware by using this purchasing system? Absolutely not. It's important to understand that the sales system itself doesn't have any knowledge of the publisher's licence terms. Every publisher that uses this system will choose his own license terms independently so, the freedom to change hardware (or the lack of it) varies depending on the publisher. We chose to offer a very liberal licensing policy regarding activations: there are 6 activations available per order, coupled with auto-reclaim every 90 days.

This means, in general, that you can change your hardware up to 6 times in a 90 days period, without running into activation issues. Do I need to be constantly connected to the Internet to check for activation? Absolutely not. The connection is needed only when you buy the product, or only when an hardware change is detected, so the product needs to verify on the server how many activation you have left.

During normal use, the connection is not required. What are the other functions of the Addon Manager? Could the scenery be programmed in order not to use it? The Addon Manager has a lot of useful functions, other than managing the Demo and the Selling system. The scenery is programmed to take advantage of it, and couldn't run without it. Some of the Addon Manager's functions are:. Automatic detection of the user's airplane type and front gear position recognition.

This is used by the safegates, to properly adjust settings depending on airplane, without having the user to unrealistically dial COM frequencies in order to configure the gates for correct airplane type. Objects appearing on conditions like time and season, allowing for special effects like seasonal trees, ice blocks on the airport, seasonal vehicles. Frame rate optimizations (especially in FSX), allowing to cut object appearance when not needed, and reinstating several conditions that are not longer possible with FSX scenery SDK.

Custom ground AI objects (FSX only), allowing for good looking customized ground vehicles with proper motion and behavior on ground. Easy tweak of several performance parameters (FSX only). This is a free feature, that can be used for any scenery, even without buying any product, the FSX tweaks will always be available. Where's the Stand-Alone Addon Manager? There's a link to download the latest version of the Stand-Alone Addon Manager on every 'Info' page for every product. Whenever you have an issue regarding the Addon Manager, is strongly suggested to install the latest version.

There's also a separate Addon Manager page.

Lionheart, you are absolutely right! That is why DDS DXT1 texture has a invisible watermark on it and in adition the text is encrypted, so just only creator can read it with special reader program that is Unique for every Programmer. Before that you need to make this visible and no one knows what DDS has a mark. It can be one or two or all of the DDS textures. In that Mark can be anything as I told before.

Web reg info, IP's, PC names, Paypal info, Facebooks, Twitters. Phone numbers. What ever info is visible at Registration time and Installation time. No one can read and see this but only creator.

Info can be used as evidence to prove that that person in particular has stolen the product. As soon as you spot your Product in Piratebay alike website, you can act to ban the user and rise the copyright cases, piracy, what ever you can. So you cannot protect the files from copying but you can fight those pirates, and one day they'll meet the judge.

That is all of we can do. Oh, there is possibility to hide the files at the time FSX is OFF. Even Encrypt them.

But only when FSX is OFF and only if you use the 'Client' to fire up the FSX. Actually Client will Hide/Unhide Decrypt/Encrypt the files before it Turns FSX on. But this is not Efficient as at the time when FSX is on you can do Copies. You cannot protect scenery from being copied because once installed in FSX, the files are easily copied to anywhere else required: memory stick, dvd or pirate site. Nor can you prevent aircraft models being copied the same way, but they might incorporate custom code which if it's compiled C is very difficult to modify. I believe copy protection methods for FSX aircraft include custom C code which must be run if the model is loaded for a flight in FSX. This code might prevent the aircraft starting, animate the wings in a ghastly flapping (would look great on a 747), fill the virtual sky with pink rhinocerii or swap the panel for a rude picture of an elephant's rear.

Any or all of these triggered by this custom code not finding the correct registration/licence information squirrelled away somewhere. It can be done, but I don't even know C or where to start. And for obvious reasons, those who do know are not going to talk publicly about the details. You shouldn't probably Watermark an image into another, that's very easy to spot by simply changing the channel levels. If you want to be creative, you should use Steganography: Encrypting something (but not another image) in an image which, even if can be detected is there, can't be decrypted without a password and, hopefully, if your customers KNOW you store THEIR data in your textures, they might not willing to share.

Of course, this will (will it?) reduce only the casual piracy of friends sharing with friends, but pirates will usually purchase your product using a fake name and emails and if you use an external payment method, which is the most common situation, you will not have access to their payment details anyway. I can see this method having some merit for products that are all made or almost entirely made by graphics, such as photoreal sceneries, texture packages, etc. I don't think it's very accurate, instead, saying that all sceneries 'can't be protected', since we have been protecting (and very successfully, I'd say) our sceneries for years, and also licensed our system to other scenery developers too, such as Flightbeam. A cursory search for FSDT/Flightbeam cracks, will result in thousands of fake 'honeypot' results, because the searches themselves ARE popular (many people DO search for them), so they are used as keyword to drive traffic to ad sites, but no real working cracks has ever been released, especially for products released in the last 2-3 years, such as KLAX, CYVR, GSX, KPHX. And the system is designed to be updated in a few hours if a crack would ever appear, making both the cracked product and all the other products unusable.

We can't claim that our system is 'uncrackable', because only a fool would believe that. But it's.very. secure considering the requirements of the Flight Sim market, where products are not very expensive (so there's no real money to be made for crackers, nobody will get millions of hits and ads with a Flight sim pirate site, this is not Autodesk or Microsoft stuff.) and users are fairly passionate about their hobby, and don't like to be forever cut off from the latest products releases, just to continue to use an old crack of some early versions of sceneries. So, considering how the Flight sim market is, I'd say we 'solved' a great deal of the piracy problem a while ago. If anyone is interested about this, feel free to contact me in private.

Click to expand.Yep. Giant boxes around the planes/scenery, etc, etc.

Things disappear in-sim. Spheres start appearing. Interestingly, the MJQ400 creates its aircraft.cfg file. You must run the configurator first (setup weights) to get the first plane to be able to be ran (shown in FS).

You could legitimately do this with a call-home system that requests your purchase order, serial number and computer ID and it would then generate the config. If the things do not match up, or 500 people are trying to activate the same plane, then it stops allowing the aircraft.cfg to be generated. That is 'one' system that could be grouped into the security system. MJC does indeed use a 'call home' system, as does PMDG.

Regarding PMDG, I do recall that one. And I do recall one before it, where the displays went black, and a lot of 'legitimate users' were 'appalled' that it was suggested they had 'activation problems'.

Regarding scenery - Yes, it is quite a bit harder to protect a scenery. Especially so a static scenery. As most of you probably know, virtuali is a programming genius, that helps. Though I will admit I had some success myself. Not at all bad for a guy who took up C in February.
