Hello, my name is Mel. Everything went well, in axapta i created a module for printing and reading barcode.

  1. Free Wide Font

The problem is my barcode scanner seems to read a barcode data length of up to 30 characters. I print only ItemId to barcode, the scanner can read. Print ProdId to barcode, scanner reads. But i have a barcode data is made up of ItemId+ProId, more than 30 characters. That's when the problem arises.

Wide

The scanner cannot read this barcode data anymore coz it is more than 30 characters. Am using metrologic ms9535 voyagerbt series. The user guide says the scanner can read up to 80 data characters depending on symbology and density. Using BC C39 3 to 1 HD Wide as barcode font. I tried also BC C128 HD Narrow.

I also tried the wide and medium of both of c39 and c128. Font size is 20. I used the axapta Barcode class framework to encode/print the barcode.

Am using MS dynamics AX 4 SP2. I have installed by windows all the needed barcode fonts on my laptop.

(no fonts not come from the voyagerbt scanner.) anybody have any ideas how i could make it read more than 30 characters?

Hi Gautam, a. Review the report design. Try printing the barcode font at different sizes. Review the size of the control. If the barcode appears to be truncated, increase the height and width of the field the font is displayed in so there is extra white space before and after the resulting barcode. Make sure the material the barcode is printed on has proper contrast. Check the print quality and DPI of the printer.

Test your scan with this barcode: f. I believe the X code is correct. However, make sure that the field size in the tmp AX table used is correct. I Hope this Helps!
